Through our day camps we are offering CanSail 1-4 this season.
Unfortunately we will not be offering the WetFeet program in 2016 but hope to bring this great program back for the 2017 season.
Our kids camps start on June 27, 2016 and run until September 02, 2016.
We look forward to meeting your sailor for the summer of 2016.
On Monday, I will be meeting with parents/guardians and sailors for a briefing on how the week will go and review any allergies/medical conditions, collect fees, and review the rules. This briefing will happen at 9am and should take aprx. 10 minutes.
A reminder that there is a $14 SailCanada fee, as well as the optional bbq lunch held on Fridays. The registration indicated that this was an $8 fee. Upon reviewing the feedback from last year, I would like to propose $11 so we have enough food and good variety. If you are opposed to this, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will try to accommodate.
The club will be an off limits area for sailors this year, and we will be offering lunches from the kitchen Wednesday-Friday to have on the water. Our goal is to keep sailors sailing instead of rushing to get back on land. I have attached the food order form for lunches and the bbq happening on Fridays (an even $25 total to participate in both). I will have forms available on Monday as well.
We will have a canteen this summer should your child or you want to grab a variety of snack foods. These will include items such as granola bars, freezies, juice boxes, gatorade. bear paws, rice crispy treats, etc. If you have a recommendation, please let me know.
For sailors 15 or older during the week: The HST change comes into effect on July 1st of 15%. $37.50 will be collected.
The camp runs from 9am-4pm. Supervision will take place between 8.30-.4.30pm. Please ensure you have made transportation arrangements.
Sailors will need to bring:
1. Government approved PFD
2. Sailing clothes/ wet weather gear- a wet suit is a preferable option
3. Swimsuit (please note the pool is to be opened the Canada Day Weekend)
5. Water bottle
6. Change of clothes & towel
7. Cover-toe footwear (no sandals/ flip flops)
8. Lunch or lunch order form We are looking forward to a great summer. Please do not hesitate to email me for any further information or questions.
