It is no accident that the Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club finds iteself on the shore of beautiful Conception Bay at Long Pond. The “barachois” or coastal lagoon where the Club is located today was first envisioned as an ideal site for a marina in 1936. Today RNYC offers boating enthisiasts a convenient, full-service boating facility 15 minutes from St. John’s.
More than a marina, RNYC holds regular boating and social events in a casual and friendly club atmosphere that welcomes new members and their guests and families. Our friendly restaurant and bar staff along with our seasoned marina crew are happy to lend a hand in helping you make the most of your boating experience.
“ The first boats to join this club were four small speedboats powered with 32 hp. outboard motors. ”
